Shambala pics and MFG! Presents BBoy battles

We were invited by the Jibbering lads to play in the bar the first night of Shambala. We tore it up- it was a great vibe!! We had ourselves loads of fun. It was so nice that we could play less well known tunes and people be into them!! It is always lovely to play to proper heads- rather than having to fish out the Marlena Shaw’s and James Brown’s to keep mainstream audiences happy.
The festival was great- although we did not really get time to enjoy it since we had to get the train back to Brum for our residency- all potential filler-in DJs were at the festival. So, surviving on only a couple of hours of sleep and a lush dinner I had time to whip up before our 6 hour joint, we played at the Bull’s Head. It was proper busy in Brum too, which we didn’t expect since we presumed most alternative/ boho Brummies would be down t’festival.

For our first year of MFG! we are doing amazingly well and I would like to say a big “Nice one!!” to all those who have supported us. Especially the heads who are appreciating the dusty choons we spend most our disposable income on.
Time to sort more gigs around the UK/Europe methinks.
