Jazzman comes to Brum this Friday!!!

This Friday, Jazzman Gerald will be a special guest at The Breakdown; our new night that is exclusive to The Yardbird. It is the first time us misfits will have such a renown funk collector come and play at one of our events which is very exciting!!
Already spent too much money on records this week and it’s only Monday.
The lovely DJ Cro recommended our night to be featured in a free Birmingham events paper called The Night Times; pun intended. They have featured our dodgy pictures from the JB night and some random MFG ones too!! I suppose it is good promotion for the night apart from the misspelling of Momma Feel Good!?! and lack of Sister 45 presence 
Not good at all!!
I think it is fair to say the Mama’s funk addiction is definitely straying more towards rare/collectors side of things. With 3 residencies per month, playing so many re-issues simply won’t cut!!
Next stage is to sort out some podcasts. A consultation with the technical brains behind all this (Tone) will have it up and running sometime soon

Trying to choose the right MFG image for our flyers. The biggest problem is adapting the face of Roberta Flack (which we used for the original 10 minute shoddy jobby of our previous flyers) into a fresh, new image. It is causing our designer grief especially since he prefers the original image…
