Here are some rather terrible pics I took of the JB tribute, had problems with the lens/flash, hence the awful blob in the middle of the photos. Next time we shall add a photographer to the budget! I will crop them down later when I have more time, I just know there are few peeps keen to take a peep at last night's antics.
It was a splendid affair, I loved the BBoys most of all, so great to watch!! Hopefully more collaborative parties will form...
Last night was great fun but exhausting! I shall write more about it later. Well done me and Amy!!!
Back again. So yeah, the night was wicked. A success!! We did good, and thanks to everyone who made it so special! Cheers Peka for your enthusiasm on New Year's morning!!
Sister 45 and I were stress heads for the first part and then tipsy happy things. I was not at all with it, when Jools Belgium asked where the monitor was I thought he was talking about the visuals and looked an absolute fool!!
Have heard loads of complimentary things from peeps who attended ranging from Moseley to Cardiff. There is this void that accompanied us home after the night, miss all the tension, planning and organising. More of these kind of events need to take place!! Brummies are up for and need to start feeling good about this part of the UK. Hopefully with the Yardbird launching on Friday, it will act as a catalyst for lots of funktastic, soulful explosions around Brumland.
